Ahoy friends and welcome aboard the July Paper Crew Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who have come together online to create cards, scrapbook pages and other paper craft projects. We hope these samples will inspire you to create fun projects using amazing Stampin’ Up! products.

This month’s blog hop theme is anything “floral” from the Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue. I couldn’t wait to showcase the Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder as my “floral” element. You’re only seeing a snippet of this amazing embossing folder but rest assured, this folder is a knock-out. Perfect for weddings, showers, birthdays, Mother’s Day and mixed media projects.

Stampin’ Up!’s 3D and Textured Impressions Embossing Folders take embossing to the next level with deeper, more detailed impressions than standard embossing folders—great for card fronts, scrapbook pages and gift packaging.

I’ve created a colour-blocked embossing folder sampler card using four different 3D embossing folders:  Tufted Dynamic, Magnolia 3D, Basket Weave 3D,  and Layered Leaves Dynamic. It’s always a pleasure to create these stunning, deeply embossed textures. Just place flat cardstock in your embossing folder, run it through a die-cutting/embossing machine, and out comes cardstock with a bold textured design. It always turns your card into a WOW!

If you like the colour combination I’ve used today, save the Papercrew.ca Stampin’ Up! Colour Inspiration swatch sample to Pinterest or right-click over it and save it to your computer for future reference.

Here’s the card recipe

Cut Whisper White Thick Cardstock in half and score in half (folded to 4.25″ x 5.5″). Cut a 3″ x 1.25″ piece from each of the Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Terracotta Tile and Cajun Craze Cardstock. This kind of design requires clean edges and precise measurements when cutting.

Carefully center your CS pieces in each embossing folder and emboss as follows:

Blushing Bride: Tufted Dynamic
Flirty Flamingo: Magnolia 3D
Terracotta Tile : Basket Weave 3D
Cajun Craze: Layered Leaves Dynamic

Draw a light pencil guideline 1/8″ from the top of the Whisper White card base. Use Snail Adhesive to secure the four pieces. I find it best to start with the first (Blushing Bride) then the fourth (Cajun Craze). Then place the Flirty Flamingo and Terracotta Tile pieces down gently, pressing firmly to secure only once you are happy with the alignment. Erase the pencil guideline. Use your Stamparatus (or acrylic block) to stamp the “Thank You SO VERY MUCH” sentiment from the  Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set using Cajun Craze.

Don’t forget … Bonus Days are on until July 31!

Thanks, Arlene. It truly is a delight to roll the embossed paper from the die-cutter to see the finished product. These 3D folders are amazing!
